Cruising & Honeymooning

Every winter since Ryan and I have dated, we’ve taken a trip down to Ft. Lauderdale in December to escape the D.C. winter weather.

Unfortunately, not every trip has been warm and we’ve ended up walking on the beach for an hour or so before seeking warmth indoors.  Despite the unpredictable weather, we’ve enjoyed getting away from work, unwinding, and spending quality time together.

This winter we’re going back down south but it will be different

Do you know why this year will be different? Because we’re going on our honeymoon!!!

Last night, Richard from Royal Caribbean provided me with all the in’s and out’s of cruising.  We talked numbers, discussed room options, dining times, and all the mind-blowing activities on board the ship…  An hour later, our honeymoon was booked and our plane tickets were purchased!  We’ll be cruising around the eastern Caribbean seas for 7 nights on the Allure of the Sea!

We’re flying down to Ft. Lauderdale a day early and returning home a day after the cruise docks [built-in buffer time if anything gets delayed] so technically we’re continuing our annual tradition of a Florida winter getaway 😉

I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it!

XOXO,

Allison

Question:  If you’re married, did you go on a honeymoon? Where’d y’all go?  If you’re not married, where would you like to honeymoon?

Question:  Have you ever been on a cruise?  Neither Ryan or I have been on a cruise so we have no clue what to expect other than a week full of fun in the sun!
