Smiles are Like the Flu

Yesterday was not one of my happiest or most productive days.  To make up for all my frustrations, I woke up this morning with an optimistic attitude and made sure to put on my smile 😀

This poem about smiling pretty much sums up my thoughts for the day…

“Smiling is infectious

You catch it like the flu

When someone smiled at me today

I started smiling too

I walked around the corner

And someone saw me grin

When he smiled I realised

I had passed it on to him

I thought about the smile

And then realised its worth

A single smile like mine

Could travel round the earth

So if you feel a smile begin

Don’t leave it undetected

Start an epidemic

And get the world infected.”

It may not be pretty, but it sure was tasty!

A smile costs nothing but gives much.  It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give.  It takes

but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.  None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without

it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it.  Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for

it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away.  Some people are too tired to give you a smile.  Give

them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.”

It’s been a long day…  12 hours at work will wear a girl out!  But guess what…  I’m still smiling 😀

“No matter how grouchy you’re feeling,

You’ll find the smile more or less healing.

It grows in a wreath

All around the front teeth –

Thus preserving the face from congealing.”

~Anthony Euwer

Question:  What made you smile today?

Question:  How do you turn your frown upside down?
